UNILAG ALUMNI ASSOCIATION MEETS AHEAD OF CHIEF OLUGBAYO OGUNLEYE’S BURIAL IN EKITI

Following the recent transition of Chief Olugbayo Ogunleye, a retired Journalist and Administrator, who was the Vice Chairman of the Ekiti State Branch of Unilag Alumni Association, the funeral obsequies has been announced by the family.

It would be recalled that the deceased community leader in Ado Ekiti, was one of the pioneers/flagship graduates of Mass Communication at The University of Lagos and retired about two decades ago as a Director in the Federal Ministry of Information.

The late Chief Olugbayo Ogunleye, who held the Chieftaincy title of Akuajo of Ado Ekiti, would be buried as announced by the family. He was 78 years at the time of his transition, just as the burial activities are to hold on Thursday, 27th and Friday, 28th July, 2023, at the Cathedral Church of Emmanuel, Ado Ekiti, Ekiti State.

Meanwhile, the chairman of the Ekiti State Branch of the Unilag Alumni Association, Chief/Dr. Olorunfemi Balogun has directed all Unilag Alumni members in Ekiti State to attend a special meeting of the Ekiti Brach holding as follows:

Chief Balogun, the branch chairman, who appealed to all great Akokites in Ekiti State to endeavor to attend, said the Special Meeting is intended to among other reasons, make necessary plans on how members are going to honor the deceased Patriot at his burial.
