Real Madrid suffered their third Champions League loss in five games on Wednesday as Liverpool defeated them 2-0, with Kylian Mbappe saving a penalty kick. Cody Gakpo and Alexis Mac Allister scored the goals in the second half to help the Reds regain their unbeaten record and take the lead once again.

However, Mac Allister created the space for a shot into the far corner on minute fifty-two, and Bradley was the provider this time, ensuring that Liverpool could not be defeated.
However, Mohammed Salah gave Madrid a lifeline when he hit the outside of the post with his penalty. It took Liverpool just six more minutes to score a second goal, as substitute Gakpo headed past Courtois after rising highest from a corner.
