TWO RE-GAIN FREEDOM FROM KIDNAPPERS’ DEN IN EKITI

…as Community leader seeks more Security presence in Emure, Ise, Ikere Ekiti

Two Pickup Motor drivers that were Kidnapped on Tuesday along Agbado Road, while Conveying cassava tubers in their vans to Ise Ekiti have been released.

One of the victims who spoke with newsmen lamented incessant cases of kidnapping in the State and called on the security agents to double efforts to stop the ugly development

He explained that a six young boys kidnapped them along the road, saying three of them were armed with AK 47 rifles ,while others carried cutlasses, knives and other dangerous weapons.

Reacting, the Chairman Joint Security ouncil of Ikere, Emure and Ise Ekiti, Elder Tunji Falana pleaded with the Local Governments Chairmen who are the Chief Security Officers in the council areas, security agents and residents of the communities to form a Synergy to prevent abduction of people in the council areas.

There was a similar incidence of Kidnapping along the same Agbado Road in September 2024.
