ENEMIES AT WORK…SDP
The secretariat of the Social Democratic Party SDP in Ekiti State has been burgled by yet to be identified persons.
Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Gani Salau who made this known to journalists at the party secretariat in Ado Ekiti explained that valuable documents needed for prosecution of the party’s case at the tribunal were carted away by the burglars in the offices of the Chairman and the Secretary.
Salau alleged that the incident was masterminded by enemies of the party with the aim of frustrating its case at the tribunal.
He said: ” I can not disclose to you the exact documents because it has to do with court proceedings so as not to run full of the law but I can confirm that they are central and cardinal to the defense of our case at the tribunal..
He added that the party is not ruffled by the evil act as it would surely continue to prosecute its case to a logical conclusion and victory would be achieved.
Salau noted that some other facilities in the secretariat such as plasma television GOTV and other valuable items were also stolen.
The SDP spokesperson said that the case had been reported at the nearest police station for necessary investigation.
