
…as Ekiti First Lady urges citizens to emulate TAJ Foundation
Over five hundred widows and widowers drawn from across Ekiti State have been empowered by Tokunbo Jakande-Ajila Foundation in partnership with the office of the Wife of the Governor.
The beneficiaries were supported with food items, confectionaries, cash and other domestic needs.

Performing the official distribution, wife of the Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Olayemi Abiodun-Oyebanji called on well to do Ekiti people to cultivate the habit of reaching out to the less privileged in the society.
Dr. Abiodun-Oyebanji commended the initiator, Dr Tokunbo Jakande-Ajila for taking a cue from her office which had been empowering widows and orphan, in the state.
Dr Abiodun-Oyebanji urged the beneficiaries to continue to support the present administration so as to enable them enjoy more dividend of democracy.
Others who spoke, including the APC Chairman in Ekiti State, Sola Eleshin showered encomium of TAJ Foundation adding that the gesture would serve as relief for the beneficiaries.
Addressing the gathering, the initiator, Dr Jakande-Ajila said the program which was the ninth of its kind was to give the widows some sense of belonging and cushion the effect of the current economic realities.
She promised to continue to do more for her people as long as she lives.
Two of the beneficiaries who spoke on behalf of others thanked the foundation for the initiative.
