…says poverty not acceptable, must be banished

In line with the promise of renewed hope by the Present Administration, President Bola Tinubu has said that, the only way to counter poverty in Nigeria is through the provision of an uninterrupted electricity supply.
The President made the statement lately while speaking at the 63rd Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
According to him, it is not possible to tackle poverty without the provision an adequate power supply.
He said, “How can we address poverty without electricity? We can take many people out of poverty with uninterrupted electricity supply. Poverty is not acceptable and we must banish it.”
