Two patients held back at the Ekiti State University Teaching Hospital, Ado Ekiti, over unpaid medical bills, Mojisola Olarewaju and Abosede Alofe have heaved a sigh of relief after Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji settled all their outstanding bills.
Roundoffnews.com had earlier reported that both patients underwent surgeries at the hospital but couldn’t go home few months after they have been discharged because they were unable to pay up their bills.
One of the patients, Olarewaju had her two legs amputated in order to save her life while Alofe who had spent one year in the hospital also had a surgery in her leg.
During a visit to the patients where the money for the medical bill was paid, Governor Biodun Oyebanji who was represented by his Senior Special Assistant on Communiy Communications, Mrs. Mary Omotosho sympathized with the patients.
Governor Oyebanji urged them to keep hope alive and have faith in God who has the power to change every situation.
The beneficiaries and their family members who could not hide their feelings burst into tears as they appreciate the Governor for his kind gesture.
