By Udesinanna Stephen

The US Secretary of State, Anthony Blinken, made this known today via a statement on his Twitter handle, @SecBlinken.

In Sudan, there has been an ongoing conflict between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), resulting in the killings of civilians, and the destruction of infrastructure, leading many countries to evacuate their citizens.

US says Sudan citizens supporting SAF or RAF against democracy will suffer visa restrictions.

“We are imposing visa restrictions on individuals responsible for undermining peace, security, and democratic transition in Sudan. US Treasury is sanctioning Sudan-based entities for supporting RSF and SAF in perpetuating the violence. We call for an immediate end to the conflict.” The statement reads.
