…says issues Resolved, Journey Continued

Following the report that drivers evacuating Nigerians from Sudan refused to continue the journey in the middle of Sahara because of nonpayment, the Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs (FMHDSD) has revealed that the issues have been resolved and the journey had continued.
The ministry said this in a statement published on its verified Twitter handle, @FMHDSD saying that it is just a bus that had issues.
The statement reads: “It is confirmed we had a bus that stopped but it was fixed and has started moving. Thank you.”
Before now, students were seen crying out in a video going around social media, a lady and a male were lamenting that the buses evacuating them stopped in the middle of the Sahara because the drivers claimed they were not paid.
The male and female in the video were identified as students by Dr Ahmad Small who shared the video on his Twitter handle

In the video, the lady said “Before we started this journey we experience several fighting. We have stopped for 5 hours and we don’t know the situation, our money has finished. We are in an unknown environment and it’s a very big danger. We don’t have any money with us.”
