Sudan Crisis: 8th batch of Evacuees Arrive Abuja

Nigerian in Diaspora Commission has disclosed that another 129 Nigerians from the Sudan war region landed yesterday at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja after departing Port Sudan International Airport.

This was disclosed in a statement obtained from the Commission’s verified Twitter handle, @nidcom_gov stating that “The good news is, no Nigerian life has been lost so far.”

According to the statement, the Evacuees were transported from Sudan airport and not Egypt as usual; this will be the 8th batch of Evacuees making a total of 1,600 evacuees so far.

Part of the statement reads: “Nationals that departed Port Sudan International Airport, landed at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport around 9:25 am local time on May 8 via Tarco Air.”
