The Trade Union Congress (TUC) has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to return to the previous petrol pump price pending when negotiations would be over.
The Union made the call on Sunday evening after meeting with government delegation held at the State House in Abuja.
Also, the Union sought for an increment in the minimum wages to balance the increase in fuel pump price.
TUC President, Festus Osifo, said some progress had been achieved with the negotiations so that the union would brief its members before tomorrow’s meeting.
According to the spokesman for the government’s representatives, Dele Alake said after the meeting, “most of the demands ‘are not impracticable’ and would be presented to President Bola Tinubu whose decisions will be reverted to labour leaders at another negotiation fixed for Tuesday.” Thisday gathered.
