All Progressives Congress, APC Chieftain, Adamu Garba has maintained that subsidy regime is the reason refineries in Nigeria have remained ineffective.
He made this known during an interactive session in the Television Continental, TVC Studio in Abuja today.
According to him, failure to remove fuel subsidy is capable of nullifying the effectiveness of any refinery established in the country, including the newly built Dangote Refinery.
He said, “Subsidy regime is the reason why all our refineries refused to work. If we don’t remove fuel subsidies, even the newly built Dangote Refinery may not work.”
