Tragedy struck the Federal University of Technology Owerri (FUTO) community as a student lost his life, and several others sustained injuries in a cult-related incident that unfolded on Friday morning.
According to reports, the incident escalated when a group of students from Imo State University (IMSU) entered the FUTO campus in a motorcycle convoy, sparking a confrontation with FUTO students.
In the ensuing confrontation, the FUTO Man O’ War commander suffered a fatal stab wound to the neck allegedly inflicted by one of the IMSU students.
The untimely death and injuries resulting from the incident have plunged the university community into mourning and disbelief.
