GRADUATES 115 RECRUITS
The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC Ekiti State Command has restated its commitment to the fight against crime in the state urging criminals to steer clear of the state.
The state commandant of the corps, Mr John Olatunde Fayemi who stated this during the Passing out Parade of the newly recruited officers said tough time awaits criminals as the corps is more combatant than ever to flush the out.
The Commandant who thanked the state government for their assistance to the Commandant also urged the state government not to forget the various promises made as it will boost the services of the command to the people of Ekiti State.
He congratulated the new recruits and urged them to be good ambassadors of the state by serving the country diligently anywhere they find themselves on the job.
According to the spokesman for the command, Tolu Afolabi, the new intakes were inaugurated on March 2022 and their dispatchment to various state commands including Ekiti state from National Headquarters signaled the commencement of the intensive training programme.
He affirmed that the climax was the event witnessed om Tuesday at the Command’s old Headquarters along Afao Road, Fayose Estate Ado Ekiti.
The Passing out Parade was reviewed by His Excellency Dr John Kayode Fayemi who thanked the Commandant General of the Corps Ahmed Abubakar Audi PhD mni for his achievements since his assumption of office two years ago.
Represented by Permanent Secretary, Cabinet Mr Adedayo Ajobiewe, Governor Fayemi urged the new recruits to make Ekiti State proud by standing out among other states in service delivery, loyalty, diligence especially at their various duty post.
The Governor called on the federal government to continue to support the Corps logistically to be able to carry out her fight against vandalism , criminality and other social vices.
The occasion was graced by Nigeria Police, Nigeria Immigration service, Nigeria Correctional service, Federal Road Safety Corps, Federal fire Services and other important dignitaries from academics and business communities.
