…Pledge Support For Ambassador Dare Bejide
Members of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Ekiti Central and North Senatorial Districts have called on the party’s national leaders and governorship candidate, Ambassador Dare Bejide, to consider an Ado-Ekiti indigene as his running mate.
The appeal was made in a communique issued by ADC chairmen in the senatorial districts during a gathering in Ado-Ekiti.
The statement emphasized that selecting a deputy from Ado-Ekiti would boost the party’s chances in the June 20th governorship election.
The concerned stakeholders across the senatorial District urged the national and state leadership to prioritize an Ado-Ekiti representative for the role.
Speaking during the gathering, ADC Chairman in Ado Local Government, Mr. Abdullahi Awoloku confirmed the senatorial district’s unanimous support for Ambassador Bejide, promising robust mobilization efforts ahead of the polls.
In their submissions, a former lawmaker, Mr. Musa Arogundade and ADC Women Leader in Ado Ekiti Local Government, Mrs. Folake Pius e stressed that the party would reject a deputy candidate lacking contributions to ADC’s growth and urged members to intensify grassroots outreach for Ambassador Bejide’s campaign.
