The SSA Farm Settlement and Agriculture to Ekiti State Governor, Adewole Temitope, has facilitated free medical services for over 500 people in his ward, ward 7 Ise-Ekiti.
It was all prayers and celebrations as over 500 residents of Oraye Ise-Ekiti benefited from a one-day free medical mission sponsored by Sebi Foundation.
The free health mission which was fully sponsored by Sebi Foundation aimed at bringing healthcare services closer to the people at the community level at no cost. A lot of people with one underlying ailment or the other are dying in silence because they can’t afford the exorbitant hospital bill.
The medical outreach covered screening of residents on non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, eye diseases,dental problems. and counseling sessions The programme also offered distribution of palliatives.
While speaking to the newsmen, the Facilitator of the outreach, Mr Adewole explained that medical outreach is a major way Sebi Foundation gives back to society.
The SSA explained further that the outreach is also coming at a time when Governor Oyebanji is bringing succor to the people of the State through huge investments in infrastructure and the health sector. He added that the mission would complement the Governor’s effort to provide affordable and quality healthcare for the masses.
The SSA noted that the Gov. Oyebanji “Ulerawa Health Insurance Programme”, a free medical service has attended to more than 500,000 residents of Ekiti State.
