Ekiti State Governor-elect, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji has eulogised late Mrs. Eunice Omoponmile Kolawole, mother of Executive Director(Finance), Federal Road Maintenance Agency(FERMA), Mr Dapo Kolawole, for her exemplary lifestyle while alive.
The Governor-elect in company of his wife, Dr(Mrs) Olayemi Oyebanji, Ekiti State First Lady, Erelu Bisi Fayemi, and other dignitaries attended the burial service for the deceased at St Michael African Church Iloro- Ekiti on Friday.
Oyebanji in his brief remarks at the church service, described Madam Kolawole as a good and caring mother who treated him like her own son adding that he was happy the late community leader left a good legacy was given a befitting burial.
“We are here today not in a mourning mood but thanking God for a life well spent by Mama Eunice Kolawole who is like a mother to me. I am so excited that we have been able to give Mama a befitting burial.
“Mama was a good mother to all. She prayed for me before the election which showed the kind of motherly love she had for me”
In a similar development, the Governor-elect also paid a condolence visit to the family of late APC leader in Ijero Local Government, Pa Joachin Falade, who died shortly after the June 18 Governorship election.
While commiserating with the family, Oyebanji described Baba Falade as a man of honour, loyal party leader and contented man who would be dearly missed for his love and commitment towards the progress of the party and the state.
“I commiserate with you on behalf of the Governor and the party. Baba Falade was a well respected party leader. He was a man of integrity who would be sorely missed by all.”, Oyebanji said.
