The lawmaker therefore lamented the worrisome stage of the economy, adding that the current political dispensation is transparent in applying feasible efforts to ameliorate the sufferings.

He said, “The current situation in Nigeria is worrisome. It is not a situation that started yesterday, the only difference now between what we are having and what we had before is that we have a government that is not pretentious about our economic situation. We have a government that is sincere with the people and we have the government that have the courage to take harsh decisions in order for us to have economic breakthrough.”

On his part, Governor of Ekiti State, Biodun Oyebanji hailed the senate leader for building the edifice in his District for the benefit of Ekiti people.

He said the gesture is a testament that Ekiti State is the home of knowledge where its citizens imbibe the culture of reading and value to reshape the state and country.

“What you (Senator Bamidele) have demonstrated today is tremendous and my message to my people is that there is need for peace, mutual respect and collaboration for Ekiti to develop.

“When there is alignment of vision between the state and representatives at the federal level, this is what we get.

“To our Senator, don’t mind what people say, just do whatever that can bring development to your district and our state.” He said.

One of the children of Oloniyo, Dr Gboyega Oloniyo, who is a Special Adviser to Governor Oyebanji commended Senator Bamidele for naming the digital library after his late father, saying that the Library would assist in improving the reading culture of students in the State.
