…calls on president Tinubu, APC National Leaders to intervene
Former Senator Ayo Arise has condemned the conduct of the All Progressives Congress, APC, primary election in Ekiti North Senatorial District, insisting that he won the exercise.
Senator Arise who stated this while addressing newsmen in Oye-Ekiti explained that the records were there and the delegates know who they voted for.
The former Lawmaker said the process fell short of the party’s guidelines and did not reflect the will of delegates who participated in the voting.
He alleged that irregularities occurred at several polling units, which he said compromised the credibility of the outcome announced by the returning officer.
According to him, the results collated at the ward level showed that he polled the highest number of votes before the process was altered during final collation.
He called on the APC leadership and President Bola Tinubu to investigate the conduct of the primary and ensure that the authentic results were upheld.
Senator Arise warned that ignoring the grievances of party members was dangerous for the party and its integrity.
Senator Arise said he would explore all internal mechanisms within the party to seek redress and urged his supporters to remain calm and avoid actions that could disrupt party unity,
