…hails Oyebanji’s giant strides in Ekiti
A chieftain of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the State, Engr Bayo Ajayi on wednesday defected to All Progressive Congress, (APC).
The former aspirant of House of Representatives, Federal Constituency 1, Ekiti South Senatorial District, stormed his hometown in Emure-Ekiti with his Loyalists of not less than one hundred, to join the ruling party.
Engr Ajayi was the former aide in charge of Roads and Infrastructure to the ex-Governor of Cross Rivers State, Professor Ben Ayade.
Receiving the Political Juggernaut in Emure Local Government, the APC Chairman, Barrister Paul Omotosho described him as a loyal Citizen who doesn’t place premium on Political differences but love and peace which are the major ingredients of democracy.
He noted that Engineer Ajayi would not be treated as new comer but treated equally with existing party members saying APC is an aegis for anyone interested in the development of State and the Country at large.
“In APC, we fight to settle our differences, this is because our party has principles and values which no one can go against.
“To the decampees, you didn’t join factions of groups of APC, what you joined today is APC.
“Governor Biodun Oyebanji is our Leader and everyone must listen to him. If we want BAO to go for second term, we must embrace peace and love in the party.”
In his response, Engr Bayo Ajayi hailed Oyebanji’s giant strides in Ekiti State within one year of his assumption into office as Governor of the State.
He stated that his achievements cum humble approaches across cadres made him and his loyalists to decamp to the party to take part in moving Ekiti State forward.
While expressing gratitude to people of Emure-Ekiti for accepting him into the party, he pledged to be a builder and pillar and not a disaster to the party.
“BAO made me to join this party. He has been exemplary and extraordinary in the discharge of his duties to the good people of Ekiti State.
“I am ready to work for Emure people and with my experience, I assure you that I will add value to this community.
“As we join the Party, we will not be a Caterpillar but Pillars and Builders of this Community.” He said
