Roadside Delivery: Church Celebrates Super Nurse, Blessing Oladipo

…urges state government to encourage health workers

A nurse working with the General Hospital Ijesha-Isu Ekiti, Blessing Oladipo who delivered a patient of a baby by the roadside has been celebrated by the Christ Apostolic Church, Agbala Iyanu where she is a member.

The congregation in their joyful mood, sang and danced to appreciate God for the great feat recorded by the nurse in the discharge of her duty.

Speaking with newsmen during the service, the pastor in charge of the Church, Joseph Omotayo said the success recorded by the nurse in taken the delivery was divine, hence the need to celebrate her and appreciate God on her behalf.

Pastor Omotayo called on Ekiti State Government to encourage Nurses who risk their lives to save others, adding that what she did should   be documented in the book of history.

His words, “I want Ekiti State Government to see what she has done as what needs to be documented in the book of history and encourage other Nurses who find themselves in this kind of scenario because it’s a sign of selflessness.”

” This woman risked everything to save two lives,, Ekiti State government, Federal Government and NGOs should motivate her.”

In an interview, Nurse Blessing Oladipo expressed joy over the overwhelming encomium she had gotten since the development.

She promised to continue to put up her best in the task of saving lives irrespective of any situation.

She however called on government to create more awareness about health related issues in the state.
