A renowned unionist Comrade Olowoyo Gbenga has been appointed as the Acting General Secretary of the Nigeria Civil Service Union.
This appointment was approved at the 79th National Executive Council (NEC) meeting which took place on Tuesday 25th June, 2024, at the Conference Hall, Green Minds Hotel, Utako, Abuja, Federal Capital Territory.
In his reaction, Olowoyo thanked God for the opportunity and solicit prayers, support, encouragement and guidance in the new assignment.
He said:”I want to appreciate God almighty , the Alpha and Omega, who is the architect of our destiny, the esteem NAC and NEC members for making this a reality, with strong faith that our God will continue to protect and abide with all of us as we all progress in our different chosen careers and endeavours.
Comrade Gbenga Olowoyo attended the famous Christ School Ado Ekiti, a Graduate of Ondo State university Ado Ekiti (now EKSU) where he bagged Bachelor Degree in English language and Education, Master Degree in industrial and Labour relations (MILR)( UNAD) and Post Graduate Diploma in journalism from international institute of journalism, Abuja.
Comrade Gbenga Olowoyo is a Fellow, Corporate institute of Administration ( FCIA) and Fellow institute of management and public Administration (FIMPA) among other professional bodies
He has attended many local and international industrial and Labour relations conferences and workshops, Public Administration and Management conferences .
He is happily married to Mrs Olowoyo Temitope with children
