…restates commitment to selfless service
The chairman of Ajoni Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Prince Michael Ogungbemi has been decorated as the outstanding council chairman of the year in Ekiti State by the Theater Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria.
Prince Ogungbemi was among the notable personalities decorated by the association during the official Inauguration of the newly elected officers of the Ekiti chapter of the association.
Presenting the award to the chairman, the Global President of TAMPAN Otunba Bolaji Amusan known as “Babalatin” affirmed that Prince Ogungbemi was carefully selected after a thorough scrutiny of the activities of all chairmen in the state.
According to Amusan, Prince Ogungbemi was chosen over others because of his leadership skills and due to the fact that most of his projects had direct impacts on the lives of people of the council and would stand the test of time.
Among the projects that earned the chairman the award are School constructions, drilling of boreholes for portable water, Construction of health centers, empowerment of small and medium scale business owners, security, road maintenance, gradings to mention just a few.
Receiving the award, the LCDA Chairman appreciated the association for the recognition saying it would spur him to do more.
He promised to continue to initiate programmes that would enhance the living standard of his people and create conducive environment for business.
