Nigerian musician Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has appealed to the EFCC for his habit of spraying money on his fans.

This comes in the wake of increased scrutiny on public displays of wealth following the recent six-month prison sentence handed to crossdresser Okuneye Idris, also known as Bobrisky.

Portable, known for his generous act of spraying cash on fans, expressed concern over the potential legal consequences of his actions.

In a recent live chat, the street artist revealed that he used to spend approximately N2 million daily on spray paint for his fans, believing it made people happier.

However, in light of recent events, Portable announced his decision to refrain from physically spraying money and instead encouraged his fans to provide their bank account details for electronic transfers.

He pleaded for forgiveness from the government and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), indicating a shift in his approach to public displays of wealth.

In Portable’s words, “I didn’t deface the Naira, I help a lot of people, After God na Government, Please forgive me if you have videos of me spraying money, no more spraying of money.”
