POLICE COMMISSIONER APPLAUDS EKITI ASSEMBLY FOR CORDIALITY WITH EXECUTIVE ARM ..as speaker assures of legislative support to combat crimes

The Commissioner of Police in Ekiti State CP Dare Ogundare says the cordial relationship between the executive and the Adeoye Aribasoye led Ekiti House of Assembly has contributed immensely to the peace enjoyed in the state.

The Commissioner who hosted the Ekiti Assembly Speaker on a courtesy visit at the police headquarters in Ado Ekiti on Wednesday explained that executive and legislature crisis always takes its toll on security and the polity as he commended Aribasoye for an excellent leadership and mature coordination of affairs in the House. 

A release from the Office of the Speaker stated that the Police Commissioner Ogundare as part of efforts to keep the state protected  said the command has ensured the prohibition of tinted vehicles which had been aiding crimes in the State, adding that late night riding of motorcycles has also been checked.

Earlier in his remarks , the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Aribasoye who was on his first official visit to the police commissioner commended the workings of the command in recent time while asking for more synergy and communication.

“Your coming on board has been able to address some issues particularly in the area of kidnapping, because my own constituency, Ikole 2, was badly affected at a time. But that has been stemmed to a large extent though not totally eradicated.  Your professionalism has been evident and the results are visible.” The Speaker emphasized.

The Speaker promised legislative support of the 7th House of Assembly to every effort aimed at ridding the state of crimes and criminal elements as he equally urged the command to do more in profiling people of questionable character and those who brandish fake identities of credible Associations with the aiming of promoting crime.
