POLICE, ANBROAD PARTNERS TO FIGHT CRIME IN EKITI

The police and the Association of Nigerian Broadcasters (ANBROAD) have agreed to cooperate in fighting crime in Ekiti State.

This position was agreed upon when the Executive Committee members and elders of ANBROAD, Ekiti State Chapter paid a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Ekiti State Command, Adeniran Kunle Adewale.

Mr. Adeniran in his remarks said his deployment to Ekiti State was not a mistake but that it was a call to serve and promised to work with ANBROAD in Ekiti to curb criminals.

He said the police would give update on its activities to ANBROAD to inform and educate the people.

The police boss assured that his office is open to ANBROAD members and also exchange contact numbers with all members present at the occasion.

In his speech, the Chairman of the association, Comm. Olugbenga Olaniyan briefed the police boss on the latest development in ANBROAD in the state and national level, pointing out that the aim is to promote peace and development in the state.

Olaniyan promised that members of the association will cooperate and work hand in hand with the police in its fight against crime.

In his own speech, the National Officer of the association, Evang. Bayo Famoroti, gave kudos to the police, particularly A22 and RRS for their roles in reducing the crime rate in the state.

Present at the occasion was the DC finance and admin, DCP Abimbola Olugbenga, the Police PRO, DSP Sunday Abutu, Amongothers.
