Party Leaders Make Case for Dele Philips

By Roundoffnews

Party leaders from Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 2 as well as the State level are encouraging the frontline aspirant for Ekiti Central Federal Constituency 2 Seat on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr. Dele Philips to keep the hope alive as more delegates also express their support for his ambition.

At a meeting on Thursday in Ado-Ekiti, the leaders led by Chief Olajide Odofin and Mrs. Adebimpe Falajiki said the party and the delegates should consider the patronage APC has witnessed through the international business mogul.

They said the future of the party, individuals as well as the upcoming generations attracted their decision to pitch their tent with the aspirant who they said has the capacity to attract development to the area through his various international connections.

Chief Odofin emphatically stressed that Mr. Dele Philips has executed many Interventionist programmes that have gone a long way to touch the lives of the people of the area.

They therefore urged delegates in the area to ensure that the globally-recognised real estate player emerges as the candidate of the party in the forthcoming primary elections.

Meanwhile, in a chat with the leading contestant, Mr. Dele Philips, he said the level of support and encouragement being witnessed by people has kept him moving in his aspiration to represent his people at the National Assembly.

In his words, “many of the women I have empowered , even without having met them have been trooping to my residence to offer prayers and encouraging me to forge ahead while parents of students that have , and still benefitting from our foundation have formed a group in readiness to create a rallying point to ensure we win the general elections”.

“I was at Ido-Ile where our foundation constructed a link bridge and was surprised at the level of reception by the people who said they have since been battling with the challenge for years”, Mr. Philips said.

“I became astonished that the people were appreciative of the little support we could provide as a non-governmental organisation and began to wonder how they would react when our plans begin to materialise by the time we get to the National Assembly”, Phillips added.
