The Ekiti State Commissioner of Police Ogundare Dare has congratulated the Ekiti State Police Command team for emerging the overall best and medals table leader in the just concluded Ekiti State paramilitary Game 2023.
The Ekiti State Police Command contingent, out of the 26 games made available for the tournament, won 16 gold medals, 9 silver medals and 3 bronze medals to be crowned the best team of the tournament.
PC Ojo Kehinde, during the tournament, broke the National Record of 67.80 in female Short Put game while corporal Oloruntoba Babalola threw 73.5 in men Discus game to break the National Record of 67.80.
Ekiti State Police team won at least a medal in all the games available during the tournament except in Judi, draught and football.
The Commissioner of Police, while commending the leadership and the entire contingent for this incredible achievement, tasked them to ensure greater successes and achievements in the subsequent tournaments.
