

The National Union of Road Transport Workers NURTW, Ekiti and Ondo States Branches have resolved that no members of the Union should collect Unauthorized money from commercial Drivers playing Akure-Ikere- Ado road.
The resolution was made during a peace meeting held in one of the Union offices in Akure to stop members of the Union from collecting Unauthorized due from commercial Drivers.
Also, at the meeting the Union cautioned “Agbero” to always maintain peace with drivers and accept whatever given to them after assisting them to load their vehicles with passengers, saying anyone that against the resolution would be dealt with and sanctioned accordingly.
Ealier, during the meeting, representatives of Ekiti NURTW at the meeting, Otunba Oloruntimelehin Akintunde and Comrade Olajide Olawole alleged that members of the Union in Akure were collecting Unauthorized due from their members and sought an end to such attitude.

On their own, two of the branches Chairmen Akure, Mr Oriade Ayeni and Mr Tope Makinde alleged that were not being treated well by members of the Union in Ikere Ekiti
In his remark, NURTW, Ekiti State Vice Chairman two, Mr Oloye Ojorube charged all the concerned units Chairmen along Akure-Ikere-Ado road to form a synergy for peaceful coexistence,adding that such would further foster unit among members of the Ondo and Ekiti NURTW.
