Olukere Pledges Support for Joint Security Committee in Ekiti

The Olukere of Odo-Oja, Ikere-Ekiti, Oba Ganiyu Obasanyin, has pledged to support the Joint Security Committee, JSC, covering the axis of Ikere, Ise/Orun and Emure Local Governments in the state.

The Olukere made the promised when the Chairman of the Joint Security Committee, Elder Tunji Falana and Secretary, Mr Niyi Okunniga paid him a visit at his Palace in Ikere-Ekiti, on Friday.

Oba Obasanyin, who vowed to assist the security outfit in all aspects, donated money the Joint Security Trust Fund.

He equally appreciated the efforts of the Security Agencies and other stakeholders in ensuring that there was peace before, during and after the festive season through constant bush combing of the vast forests in the area.

Earlier, the Chairman of the Committee, Elder Tunji Falana thanked the monarch for his back-up even before the visit and equally solicited for the sustainance of the support of Oba Obasanyin and Olukere-in-Council.

He enjoined other stakeholders in Ikere Kingdom to assist in funding the Joint Security Trust Fund.
