Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun has threatened to shut down any bank that refuse to accept the old naira notes.
He made this threats on a Video posted on his Twitter Page today, following Supreme Court’s Judgement on the old notes and it legal application till 31st of December, 2023, which is yet to be adhered to.
In his words: “All business men and traders should start receiving the old Naira Notes. Any Bank that refuses to collect the notes should be reported to me, if possible, the money involved should be brought to me. I would deposit the money myself and make sure I shut down the bank.”
