Sixty two members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, ward six Okeyimi, Ado Ekiti smiled home with twenty thousand Naira each after been selected as beneficiaries of the quarterly empowerment programme of the Chairman Petroleum Product Regulations Consumer and Protection Agency, Hon. Odunayo Arinka.
The beneficiaries who could not hide their feelings were seen chanting songs of praises to eulogize the donour while some of them rained heavy prayers on him for bring succour to them considering the current economic realities.
Presenting the cash to the beneficiaries including aged, widows and youths, Hon. Arinka explained that his intention to extend dividends of democracy to them as exemplified by the Governor, Biodun Oyebanji was to ameliorate their suffering.
According to Arinka, it is his responsibility as an aide of the Governor to ensure that his followers at the ward level benefit from the positive impacts of government.
Arinka appealed to them to continue to support the government of Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji and disregard the activities of third columnists.
He noted that Oyebanji has shown rare diligence, commitment to service, humility and discipline which are enough to earn him a free ticket for the second term.
Some leaders of APC at the meeting said Arinka shocked them with such massive empowerment which they described as unprecedented.
