Obi Defeats Tinubu in Lagos

The Labour Party Presidential candidates, Peter Obi has been declared winner of Lagos state’s presidential elections.

Obi got 582,454 votes to win the former Lagos State governor, and APC Presidential candidate, Bola Ahmed Tinubu who got 572,606 votes.

Third was, Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), scored 75,750 votes and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) polled 8,442.

However, Tinubu won 11 local government areas in the state, Obi won majority in 9 local governments.

1,347,452 votes was accredited in the state while the total valid votes are 1,271,451, rejected votes 64,278 and the total votes cast 1,335,729.
