The Ewi of Ado Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe Aladesanmi lll says the spate of insecurity in the country calls for urgent attention from all tiers of Government.
While commisserating with the people of Imojo, Ilesun Ekiti and Ekiti State in general, over the demise of their Monarchs ,Oba Adejugbe noted that, it is disheartening and an abomination to take lives out of Kings in such a wicked manner.
According to him,the traditional institution is sacred and must be treated as such, stressing that they don’t deserve gruesome death in the course of serving their people.
The Ewi called on the State government to ensure that those behind the dastardly acts are brought to book.
He pointed out that in addition to the efforts of Governor Biodun Oyebanji at stemming crime in the State, Amotekun should be empowered to use gun and be properly funded to complement the efforts of other security agencies at combating the incessant kidnapping in the State.
The traditional ruler also prays for the release of the pupils, their teachers and driver abducted at Emure Ekiti unhurt.
Oba Adejugbe who requested for adequate security for the traditional rulers, advised everyone to be vigilant as security is everybody’s business.
