The National Youth Service Corps, NYSC has urged the Federal Government, FG to approve the NYSC Trust Fund Bill despite contentions.
The Bill which is targeted at providing start-up capital for corps members after service was relayed lately through a press statement issued by the Scheme’s Director of Press and Public Relations, Mrs Adenike Adeyemi and published via its Official Facebook Account, @National Youth Service Corps- NYSC.
It states, “While appreciating all efforts from Governments, Corporate bodies, International Organizations and indeed all Nigerians, particularly parents, the scheme should be strengthened with solutions for credible modifications and support of the recent NYSC Trust Fund Bill awaiting assent from the Federal Government.”
This is coming after the Association of Telecommunications, Information Technology, Cable Satellite Cable Satellite Network Operators and Allied Services Employers of Nigeria (ATICEN) few days ago, urged the President, Muhammadu Buhari not to sign the NYSC Trust Fund Bill saying that, the bill would add more financial burden on the employers in the telecoms industry and organized private sector.
