…as Olufaki of Ifaki Lauds Scheme, HIRD Programme

The National Youth  Service Corps, NYSC, Ekiti State has taken its Health Initiative for Rural Dwellers (HIRD), Programme to Ifaki community for easy access to free and quality healthcare service.

The Programme was launched in 2014 as a platform for the scheme’s contribution to the wellbeing of rural dwellers in the state.

The 2023 first quarter of HIRD Programme took place today at the Palace of the Foremost Traditional Ruler of Ifaki, HRM Oba Adegbenro John Falore (Ajigbade III).

In his address, Oba Adegbenro eulogized the initiative as one which tends to alleviate the medical challenges faced by the people living in the rural areas and pleaded with his subjects to embrace the Initiative.

The referred Monarch appreciated the Director-General of NYSC, Brigadier-General YD Ahmed for the programme stating that, his people will continue to pray for the scheme for bringing medical succour to their doorsteps.

He said, “I want you to convey my message to the Director General and the State Coordinator of the NYSC that we really appreciate this gesture and we pray to have more robust relationship with the NYSC.

I am using this medium to tell all Corps Members in Ifaki that they should see Ifaki as their home. We assure them that the hospitality they will get in Ifaki, they would not get it elsewhere in the country. We pass through the system and we cannot work against the system that we were once a beneficiary of. When I got the notice of this exercise, I key into it immediately because I knew the importance.”
