NURSES REJOICE WITH EKITI FIRST LADY OVER ELEVATION TOAN ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

The leadership of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Ekiti State, has rejoiced with the First Lady, Dr. Olayemi Oyebanji over her recent elevation to the exalted position of an Associate Professor by The University of Ibadan.

Authorities of Nigeria’s premier university, the University of Ibadan had on Thursday, officially pronounced Dr. Oyebanji, an Associate Professor in the Department of Education Management.

In a statement jointly signed by
the chairman of the Association, Mr. Oladimeji Samuel- Adegbuyi the Secretary, Miss. Olabisi Ayenioye and the PRO Mrs. Odunayo Olufunmilayo, the nurses affirmed that the elevation of the Midwives Ambassador in Ekiti State was well deserved.

According to them, the academic elevation was an attestation to the fact that the Governor’s wife has remained committed to teaching and research in the university not minding her political assignments which is time consuming.

The statement reads:” We the Executive members of the National Association of Nigeria Nurses and Midwives, Ekiti State received the news of the elevation of our first lady to an associate professor with joy and excitement, we are indeed proud of the first lady who has been able to remain focused in the pursuit of her carrier.

” As nurses we understand what it takes to serve the public and at the same time achieve excellence in academic career, it’s on this note that we celebrate the first lady and wish her well.

” We pray God to continue to strengthen her to get to the peak of her career.

The association equally congratulated Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji whom it affirmed had given the first lady the needed support and encouragement to attain greatness as a scholar.
