NUJ Ekiti NOA Chapel Trains Members on Effective Communication

In a bid to communicate effectively and disseminate information to members of the public, members of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ, Ekiti State Council of the National Orientation Agency, NOA Chapel, were trained on the use of grammar and communication skills.

At a one-day training in Ado-Ekiti, on Thursday, members of the chapel were trained on the rules of grammar and how they can maximise its usage effectively in the discharge of their duties.

According to the Chairperson of the Chapel, Comrade Toyosi Eleyinmi, members were empowered on the rudiments in the use of grammar noting that the aim is to refresh their brain on how to communicate effectively.

Her words: “We had a lecture on Lexis and Structure. We want our people to be aware of things they might have forgotten. We refresh their brain to know how to pronounce words and everything.

“To empower and bring more enlightenment to our members so that they will be aware of current happenings in grammar and every other thing.

“We will still do more so that we will refresh our brains and know what is trending in communication so that we speak rightly and pronounce rightly when we are speaking to people.”

The resource person, who is a lecturer in the International Institute of Journalism, IIJ, Ado-Ekiti Campus, Prince Adetipe, taught the members extensively on Lexis and Structure in English Language and other areas of communication.
