NLC CELEBRATES MUSLIM WORKERS ON EID-EL-FITR, COMMENDS OYEBANJI FOR INCREASED SUBVENTION

The Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) in Ekiti State, Comrade Kolapo Olatunde, has extended warm felicitations to Muslim workers across the state on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting.

In a statement issued in Ado Ekiti, Olatunde congratulated Muslim workers on the successful completion of the 30-day fasting period, describing it as “a remarkable feat of endurance, discipline, and devotion.” He praised Muslim workers for their contributions to the nation’s workforce, acknowledging their dedication, hard work, and commitment to the growth and development of the country.

Olatunde also urged Muslim workers to continue promoting the values of love, peace, unity, and selfless service to humanity, essential for the nation’s progress and prosperity.

Additionally, the NLC Chairman appreciated Governor Oyebanji for increasing subvention to some institutions in the state, describing the step as thoughtful. This development will assist institutions in attending to outstanding benefits and effectively paying the new minimum wage. Olatunde thanked the Governor for paying outstanding salary arrears of local government workers, stating that Ekiti workers would reciprocate by supporting the Governor’s programs and policies.
