NISSI FOUNDATION AGAIN PUT SMILES OF FACES OF ELDERLY, WIDOWS, OTHERS IN EKITI

More people have been enrolled on the list of beneficiaries of the Nissi Foundation, a Non Governmental Organization focusing on making the aged, widow and the less privileged live a better life.

The Nine year old NGO at  the Ninth edition of its Bi annual outreach held in Ado Ekiti again brought together old and new beneficiaries to the Redeemed Christian Church of God Divine Assurance Ajebamidele Ado Ekiti venue of the event.

The President and Founder of the Foundation Mrs Oyeyemi Kayode Ojo while welcoming the participants thanked God for keeping them to witness another edition of the program

She explained that the vision and mission of the foundation was to make life easy for the elderlies considering the various physical and health  challenges and symptoms of the old age  which are mostly and perhaps ignorantly  tagged as spiritual problems.

Mrs Kayode Ojo highlighted some of the various achievements of the Foundation to include financial and items donations to the elderlies, widows and the vulnerable, home visitations, distribution Covid 19 palliatives, Health education and Monitoring of the aged, Youth Counselling, evangelism through physical humanitarian and spiritual works.

According to her “We hold outreaches twice in a year, one in the Church and one in the public service/sector. In December, 2021, we extended out coverage to outdoor services. We gave food items to the Elderly people in their homes. Once in while, we give cash to

wIdows and arrange counselng session for the youths. As a Coordinator, I also
collaborate with AYAC Foundation for youths, Widow’s Care to carry out this kingdom assignment.

I thank members and partners of NISSI Foundation for sacrificing their resources to bring Succor to the Elderly and the widows.

The program featured a health education Session where Dr. Albert Odebunmi spoke on the Seven Major Diseases and symptoms  associated with old age including Diabetes, Demential, Osteoarthritis , Hypertension among others.

The medical expert charged the the elderlies to always take about 15 to 20 minutes advantage of the early morning sun which he said gives alot of vitamins that help the proper functioning of the bones, the brain and the skin. He also emphasized the need for regular exercise and regulation of food intake most especially food with much Sugar.
One of the clergy men in Attendance Pastor Taiwo Agbanigo lauded the efforts of NISSI Foundation and described the founder as a true Christian and selfless leader to be emulated.

Cash, food and other items were given to beneficiaries.

Some of the beneficiaries thanked the foundation for the timely assistance they always received while they prayed for more grace over the president and founder of the NGO.

The participants were treated to glamour by cultural troop and the children saxophonist band.
