Following the abduction and murder of Najeebah, with her sisters at the federal capital, Abuja, Nigerian Citizens have lamented over the incessant security state of the nation.
Recalled that Najeebah, a 400 level student of ABU, was reported to have been kidnapped by bandits on the 9th of January 2024 at Abuja, alongside her five sisters and father.
Her father who was eventually release on the condition that he would source for money to complete the demanded ransom. Upon further delay to the payment of the ransom, Najeebah was killed, and her body dumped at a site visible for her parents to pick up for burial .
Reactions have sprung up resulting from the Najeebah demise, questioning the security state of Nigeria.
Reacting to the issue, via his X handle, Human Right Activist Senator Shehu Sani expressed concern towards the deteriorating state of security in the federal capital.
He said, “The gruesome murder of Nabeeeha Al-kadriyar is a condemnable act of evil before our very eyes. Her death was an avoidable tragedy. The perpetrators must be brought to justice”.

@bb_khamees posted, “another set of family were being kidnapped, and the kidnappers demanded 100m for ransom. Are we safe in this country?
Ogbeni Sugar posted, Kidnapping in Nigeria is becoming increasingly rampant and our government to me isn’t doing enough on this matter.
In response to the uproar, Ex-minister for Communications and Digital Economy of Nigeria, Isa Pantami, despite his denunciation against ‘paying ransom to criminal”, expressed his concern with regards to the demise of Najeebah.
He disclosed the intention of a friend who offered to support the family of Najeebah with 50 million naira for the release of her remaining five sisters held hostage.
