Nigeria Army Assures Corps Members of Adequate Security in Ekiti

The New 32 Artillery Garrison Commander in Ekiti State, Col. Jubril M. Garba has assured corps members in the state of maximum security and safety.

The New Garrison Commander gave the assurance, on Thursday, when he paid a scheduled visit to the National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, Ekiti State Coordinator, Mrs Mary Nenna Chikezie in her office.

He assured management of the scheme in the state that the military would do everything within its power to ensure the safety of corps members and staff.

Responding to concerns raised by the State Coordinator on the security of corps members during the elections, Col. Garba advised that information should be sent to them promptly for action to be taken.

He also reiterated the commitment of the military to collaborate with the police and relevant agencies in ensuring the security of lives during and after the elections.

He equally gave the assurance that Military personnel will be deployed to carry out routine patrols.

Mrs Chikezie while welcoming the Garrison Commander to the NYSC Secretariat appreciated the command for the continued support to the scheme in the State.

She equally urged the Military formation to collaborate with other relevant agencies in providing routine patrols around the various corps lodges during and after the forthcoming elections.
