NEW ERA FOR NYSC EKITI AS MR. IGE ASSUMES LEADERSHIP

…Alhaji Riko Bows out of Service

A new chapter has begun in the affairs of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Ekiti State as Mr. Ige Adeola officially assumed office as the State Coordinator, taking over the baton of leadership from the immediate past State Coordinator, Alhaji Riko Abdullahi Shuaibu, who bowed out of the National Service after attaining the statutory retirement age.

Speaking during the handing-over ceremony held at the NYSC State Secretariat, Basiri, Ado-Ekiti, Mr. Ige charged members of staff to remain steadfast, committed, and upright in the discharge of their responsibilities. He stressed that excellence in service delivery could only be achieved through fairness, discipline, transparency, accountability, teamwork, and a high level of professionalism.

The new State Coordinator called for the cooperation and support of all staff, assuring them that his administration would operate an open-door policy geared towards promoting unity, improving productivity, and taking the Ekiti State Secretariat to greater heights. He also pledged that the welfare of both staff and corps members would remain a top priority throughout his administration.

In his valedictory address, the immediate past State Coordinator, Alhaji Riko Abdullahi Shuaibu, expressed profound appreciation to the management and staff of the Secretariat for their loyalty, dedication, and unwavering support throughout his tenure. He described the staff as the greatest asset he was handing over to his successor, noting that their commitment and professionalism were instrumental to the numerous achievements recorded during his administration.

Alhaji Riko urged the staff to accord Mr. Ige the same level of support and cooperation they extended to him, expressing confidence in the new State Coordinator’s ability to consolidate on the gains already recorded. He further expressed optimism that the ongoing construction of the NYSC State Secretariat would be completed and that a befitting multipurpose hall would be built at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ise/Emure-Ekiti, to further enhance the Scheme’s operations in the state.

The ceremony, attended by management staff and members of the NYSC family in Ekiti State, marked both the end of a remarkable tenure and the beginning of a new phase of purposeful leadership, as staff pledged their support for the new State Coordinator in advancing the objectives of the Scheme.
