Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna has proposed to train staff of National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) on emotional intelligence.
This was revealed in a statement published on the verified Twitter handle of NYSC, @officialnyscng.
According to the statement, the Head, Centre for Study of Leadership and Complex Military Operations of NDA, Dr. Ben J. Audu while presenting the proposal said “the training becomes necessary, taking into cognizance evolving challenges in managing human resources at the workplace.”
The statement also had that, the NYSC Director General, Brig Gen YD Ahmed welcomed the proposal, stating that the training is way of enhancing the capacity of staff to carry out their duties efficiently.
In addition, the Director instructed Planning, Research and Statistics department and the team from NDA to work out modalities for commencing the training.
