…as Iyanu Olumuagun, Seun Afolayan make list
The Nigerian Bar Association, NBA, Ikere-Ekiti Branch has elected new members to fill the vacant executive positions in the association.
This was conatained in a statement by the Publicity Secretary of the association, Seun Omowonuola Afolayan.
The statement reads: “The election was held on Tuesday, 9th July, 2024 at the Wole Olanipekun Bar Center, Ikere-Ekiti, during the July edition of the Branch meeting.
“In a follow-up to the main election which produced Temitope Kolawole, Esq as the Chairman of the Branch and Ayo Daramola, Esq. as the Secretary.”
The Chairman of the Electoral Committee for the Bye-Election, Yemi Olamiju while presiding over the bye-election admonished members to be alive and dedicated to Bar activities.
Olamiju further advised members to always attend meetings regularly and punctually.
The Secretary of the Committee, Mr. Foluso Kayode in his remarks called for unity among members.
According to him, the Branch Meeting is the highest decision-making body and Constitutional issues can be amended by the Statutory Meeting in the interest and progress of the Branch.
The newly set of members elected at the bye-election are:
Iyanu Olumuagun – Vice Chairman
Ogunjobi Victor – Asst. General Secretary
Oduluyi Catherine – Provost
Sandra Elliot. – Welfare Secretary
Idayat Oluwatoyin Famobio – Social Secretary
Funmilayo Akinwunmi – Treasurer
Akinjinde Otegbola – Financial Secretary
Seun Omowonuola Afolayan- Publicity Secretary
The meeting was attended by past chairmen and secretaries of the Fountain Bar, which include Dr. Michael Afolayan and Kikelomo Owolabi
