Sons and daughters of Ayegunle Ekiti have rejoiced with the traditional ruler of the town, Alayegunle of Ayegunle, HRM, Oba Johnson Folorunso Aderiye JP over his elevation to a first class status.
The monarch was among the lucky traditional rulers whose status were upgraded
by the Ekiti State Governor, Dr John Kayode Fayemi few days to the expiration of his tenure in office.
In a statement in Ado Ekiti, the Ayegunle indigenes both home and abroad expressed their happiness, and appreciation to God for giving their king the much desired and cherished promotion to the realm of First Class Oba.
Speaking to Round off news, one of the illustrious sons of Ayegunle, Dr Sola Afolayan, an Associate Professor in Ekiti State University expressed his heartfelt appreciation for such a cheering news that has unambiguously elevated the socio-political status of the town.
Another worthy son of the town, Dr Lawrence Adepoju, also expressed his joy, saying: “Congratulations to our King and the whole Ayegunle sons and daughters for the great feat”.
They prayed God to grant the monarch wisdom, knowledge and understanding to continue lead the town to more success.
