Father of the controversial dead singer, Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba popularly known as Mohbad, Mr. Joseph Aloba, has revealed the untimely death of his son was the reason for his hastened burial.
This is coming after Nigerians raised concern on the Artist’s hastened burial and the unusual burial site where the he was buried as according to them is not befitting for a celebrity.
Reacting to this, the deceased’s father mentioned that, the Yoruba Culture does not permit the preservation of young corps whose parents are still alive, pegging this to why he was buried on the same night he was declared dead.
He said, “In Yoruba land, his corpse is not the kind to be kept when both of his parents are still alive. Assuming he died at an older age, we might have considered putting his body in the mortuary and taking it at a later date. That same night we took him away from there and buried him where we did.”
Speaking on the choice of his burial site, Mr. Aloba said that, the site was chosen because it was the only piece of land the late artist own during his life time.
“That land where Mohbad was buried is his only land, that’s the only land I know him to have owned. Truly he gave me the land to build my church because we had both agreed to build the church there, and since that’s the only land I knew him to have”, he said.
