A Young farmer in Ekiti State, Abubakar Sanni has sought the support of the state government to aid his mechanised agro project.
ROUNDOFFNEWS gathered that the farm is located at military checking point along Isan Road, Iludun Ekiti State.
According to him, he intend to plant soya beans, maize, water mellon, beans and rice, adding that they are his target due to their growing demand and increasing inflation.
He noted that the mechanisation of the agro products will support food production so as to boost food sufficiency in the state.
He went further to say that the lack of machines has negative effects in the agricultural production level as most farmers rely on direct human energy.
He also noted that he has already secured over 70 hectare of land while calling on government to intervene for productivity, timeliness of operation and improved quality of his farm produce.
