Mayday: NUT Chair, Comrade Oke celebrates Ekiti Teachers, workers

…says Ekiti teachers are incredible

The chairman Nigeria Union of Teachers, Ekiti State wing, comrade Emmanuel Oke has congratulated Ekiti State workers particularly teachers for witnessing the 2023 May Day.

Comrade oke in a statement made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti said Ekiti teachers remain the best in the country considering their efforts towards the development of the education sector hence the need to celebrate them.

He commended the teachers for all they have been doing, saying the significance of Mayday is to acknowledge the contributions of workers to development of the nation and to also amplify and protect their rights.

Commodore Oke appealed to all teachers to take their time to wine, dine and celebrate themselves.

He also asked them to relax well so as to resume to their places of work with a refreshed body system and mental alertness for them to deliver on the task ahead of them.

The NUT chairman promised that his administration would continue to maintain a symbiotic relationship with the state government towards getting the necessary benefits of teachers for them.

Comrade Oke noted that the days of banging table and confrontational agitation in unionism is gone hence the need to relate with government in a proper manner in such a way that both teachers and government would benefit.

Oke who is also the Vice Chairman NLC Ekiti State congratulated all executives of Labour Force, chairmen and secretaries of unions in the state and wish them many more celebration of May Day.
