Make Udiroko International Festival, Ojoribata Dynasty Tells Gov Oyebanji

…hails Ewi’s contributions to development in Ekiti

As this year’s Udiroko festival gather momentum, the Elerebi Akogun Ojoribata, Irona Toke-Todo, Ado Ekiti, Chief Michael Akinyemi Akintola has called on Governor Biodun Oyebanji to support the festival to attract international recognition.

Chief Akintola made the call in Ado Ekiti while addressing newsmen on important and significant of Udiroko festival.

Eleribi Akogun Ojoribata of Ado Ekiti noted that Udiroko is the most significant festival in the state capital, adding that if properly harnessed would put Ekiti on global map.

The nonagenarian hailed Ewi of Ado-Ekiti, Oba Adeyemo Adejugbe for recording remarkable sucess since his enthronement as King of the state capital and commended the contributions of Aare Afe Babalola to the socio economic development of Ekiti state.

While calling on Ekiti residents to keep praying for the state and the forthcoming festival, he prayed God to guard the monarch, members of ewi in council and all sons and daughters in home and diaspora.

“I urge the government to support the celebration and other things to bring development to Udiroko.

“We want support from the Government, because this is the most significant and historic celebration in Ado.

“We thank God for having monarch like Oba Rufus Adejugbe Aladesanmi in Ado-Ekiti, there is development in his time.”

Elder Akintola aslo commended the contributions of Alhaji Gbamila Adeoye, Chief Executive officer of Gbamila Tradomedical Centre for his philanthropist’s role and wished hom well in his future endeavors.

Udiroko is the festival yearly celebrated by Ado Ekiti indigenes to usher in the new year of the town.
